B12 deficiency is a common nutritional disorder that can cause a variety of symptoms. The most common symptoms include fatigue, weakness, lightheadedness, and shortness of breath. Other symptoms can include headache, dizziness, numbness or tingling in the hands and feet, trouble walking, memory problems, confusion, depression and anemia. Some people may also have stomach pain or diarrhea. B12 deficiency can be caused by many things including poor diet choices, malabsorption disorders such as celiac disease or Crohn's disease, medication side effects, surgery to the stomach or small intestine, cancer treatments such as radiation therapy and chemotherapy.and pernicious anemia. which is a condition where the body does not absorb B12 properly. Anyone with any of these risk factors should talk to their doctor about getting tested for B12 deficiency
