Is folic acid the same as B12?

Another difference between the two vitamins is their absorption rates; folic acid is absorbed quickly into the bloodstream, whereas B12 takes a little longer to be absorbed.
Despite these differences, both folic acid and B12 are important for maintaining good health. It’s recommended that adults get 400 micrograms of folate (a form of folic acid) per day, and 2.4 micrograms of vitamin B12 per day
